Cog Hill Golf, a Jemsek Golf Facility, is a historic 72-hole public golf facility located near Chicago. Dubsdread (Course No.4) has been awarded “America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses” by Golf Digest and is Rated #1 in Illinois-Golfweek. Our year-round facility includes a driving range with heated Toptracer stalls, a learning center, two golf shops, a restaurant with patio seating, along with a 280-seat banquet hall located in the historic clubhouse.
Tee Boxes
Course 1 — 18 holes
Challenging, but not overpowering, best describes Course No. 1. The layout routes through gently rolling, wooden terrain and offers a nice blend of lengths and difficulty, requiring a range of shot-making ability. The course features water on six holes to test the accomplished player.

Course 2 - Ravines — 18 holes
Since opening in 1929, Course No. 2 has been a favorite of Cog Hill’s regular golfers. The sporty, championship layout is routed through wooded, rolling terrain and challenges golfers with ravines on nearly half of the holes, hence its nickname the “RAVINES.”

Course 4 - Dubbs Dread — 18 holes
Course No. 4 or “DUBSDREAD” as commonly referred to, was derived from the idea that a “dub” or poor golfer should beware and served as a warning of the challenges forthcoming. True to its name, this natural-style championship course places a high demand on shot-making ability.
